We know that all of you are masters of voice on the page, but what do you do when it’s time to get out of the garret and present you work in person? Find out how to make the right impression on Monday, September 8th (Yes, we are skipping the Monday after the Labor Day weekend).

So, on Monday, September 8th, join us for another terrific Left Coast Writers Literary Salon, this time with a  noted professional in the art of presentation.

Betsy Graziani Fasbinder is one of our favorite coaches in the art of public speaking.  She is an award-winning writer and ghostwriter who has published numerous articles. Her debut novel is Fire & Water, a story of art, madness, and passion.

Betsy has been a professional presentation skills coach since 1998, empowering writers, artists, technology professionals, and business leaders to be their best natural selves in front of groups.  She will be sharing her direction and tips on public speaking: the challenges to be overcome, the rewards of mastering this art, and more during this inspiring salon.

We hope you’ll all take advantage of the opportunity to meet and hear from her!

As a life-long writer, a psychotherapist for over two decades, and trainer of communications skills, Betsy Graziani Fasbinder‘s entire professional life is about communicating ideas and matters of the heart with clarity and passion.

In addition to her work as a novelist and memoirist, Betsy coaches writers (and other introverts) in their efforts to represent themselves and their work as dynamic, engaging public speakers. She has taught clients in Fortune 500 Companies, politicians, entertainers, and authors throughout the United States and occasionally overseas. She helps clients to be at their at their natural and most comfortable best in front of an audience by helping them to see public speaking not as a “gift” but as a set of learnable skills.

In Fall 2014, Betsy will launch a podcast called, “Art Finds a Way” which will feature brief interviews with people from all walks of life about how they have found a way to express their creativity and imaginations in art forms of all types. “Art Finds a Way” is a celebration of the tenacity of the creative spirit and meant to be an inspiration for others to find a way to weave artistic expression into their lives.

Betsy’s debut novel, Fire & Water was published in the spring of 2013 by She Writes Press and has received a Silver Medal in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards and was honored with an honorable mention in both the New York and Los Angeles Book Festivals.  The audio book of Fire & Water arrives in summer 2014. Several of her memoir pieces have been produced as Readers’ Theater in the historic Miners’ Foundry Theater in Nevada City.  She has since returned to Marin County where she lives with her husband, one son launched and living nearby and the other on the launch pad.  Edgar, her salt-and-pepper doodle is her faithful and patient writing companion
